Booking and Payment: The person who signs the rental contract is responsible for all payments in respect of the booking. When acting as an agent, we will arrange for you to enter into a contract with the supplier. Bookings are strictly limited to the maximum occupancy which is stated on the contract. A baby requiring a cot will count as one person. Reservations will be confirmed upon payment of a non-refundable between 30 – 50% of the rental cost (unless otherwise specified in your rental contract) and a signed rental contract. This amount should be received within seven days to secure your reservation, or your option will automatically be released.
Full payment, including rental charges, security bond and any supplementary facilities is payable 8 weeks prior to rental (unless otherwise specified in your rental contract), or immediately if travel is within this period. Should payment not arrive by this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and you may be liable to pay cancellation charges as set out in your rental contract.
The security bond must be paid with the balance payment for your rental. We reserve the right to make a charge for damaged or missing items and any other costs which are incurred during your stay. Return of security bond is upon receipt of villa manager’s report and usually within twenty-eight days of your return. No deductions are made without prior agreement. The tenant’s responsibility for damages to the accommodation is not limited to the amount of security bond.
Payments should be made by bank transfer to our bank account as detailed in the rental contract.
Occupancy: You agree to the maximum number of people which is the number specified on the rental contract. A baby in a cot would count as one person. We cannot accept bookings for larger groups without written acceptance from Elegant Address South of France Ltd. Any events such as birthdays, weddings, receptions etc must have prior written agreement.
As the tenant, you agree to take good care of the property, leave it clean and tidy and replace any breakages. All properties have a no smoking policy.
Arrival and Departure times: Rental commences at 1600 and clients must depart no later than 1000 on their departure date. Clients cannot enter the accommodation before 1600 without consent in writing from Elegant Address South of France Ltd. It is the Client’s responsibility to notify the villa manager of any delays with their arrival time. Failure to do this could result in the villa manager leaving for another appointment resulting in very long delays to gain entry to the apartment or villa. The villa manager has permission to charge for excessive waiting without notification.
Rental Price: Your rental contract will specify services included within the rental price. Prices detailed on our website are for low season rentals and based on monthly bookings. The actual price for your rental will be confirmed in the rental contract; to this there are typically additional costs as follows:
Clients should leave the accommodation in the same general condition as it was found at their arrival. This means dishes washed, no rubbish left etc.
Cancellations or changes by you: A cancellation by your party must be made in writing by the person who signed the rental contract. Cancellation policies will always be as per your rental contract. As an indication of these terms, the following percentage of the total rental price will generally be payable as a cancellation charge by the Client:
Amendments: If after you have confirmed your booking you decide to alter your arrival and/or departure dates, we will do our utmost to make the requested change, provided we are informed at least 8 weeks prior to rental commencement. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate any such requests.
Management: We have a very experienced and efficient team of villa managers in France. Full details of the management service are available in the rental information that will be sent to you. Please do not hesitate to contact the villa manager should you require any assistance during your stay. They have excellent local knowledge and should be able to help you with any enquiries you may have.
When acting as an agent, we will arrange for you to enter into a contract with the supplier, and in these cases the management services will be provided by the supplier. As an agent we accept no responsibility for the acts or omissions of the supplier or for the services provided by the supplier.
Complaints: Where we are acting as agent, the contract for your rental is between you and the supplier, and any queries or concerns should be addressed to them. In the unlikely event that you wish to register a complaint during your rental, you should address your complaint immediately to the villa manager so that they will have an opportunity to correct the matter during the rental.
If the problem cannot be solved locally and you wish to make a complaint, full details must be sent in writing within 28 days from the end of the rental.
Unfortunately we are not always able to control the components of your rented accommodation and it is possible that an advertised facility may be withdrawn or changed due to circumstances beyond our control and for which we cannot accept liability.
Accommodation Descriptions: Every care has been taken in compiling the contents of this website and our brochures. However, all information about the apartments and villas has been provided by property owners and authorised agents of the properties and reproduced in good faith. Elegant Address South of France Ltd will not be held liable for any errors, omissions, misunderstandings or claims arising from the description and information provided.
Wherever possible Elegant Address South of France Ltd or our partners and collaborators in the South of France will endeavour to carry out inspections of properties to ensure quality. Inspections can take place several months in advance and the descriptions are of what existed at the time of the inspection. When we become aware of any significant changes, we will advise you as soon as possible.
Children: Children in and around the pool must always be supervised. Children must also be supervised on any balconies at the accommodation. Supervision of the children is the tenant’s responsibility.
Safety and Security: All doors, windows and shutters are to be locked before leaving the accommodation even for a short time. When closing electronic window shutters, please ensure that no items (chairs, shoes, bags) will prevent the lowering of the shutters.
Passports and Insurance: British citizens travelling should hold a full British 10 year passport which is valid for at least 90 days following their entry to France. It is essential that holiday insurance is purchased to cover loss of goods whilst travelling abroad, sickness or accidents etc. We also strongly recommend taking out insurance to cover any costs of cancellation. It is possible to take a holiday insurance that covers damages the client may incur while living in the rental accommodation.
Neither Elegant Address South of France Limited, the property owner, nor the management company can be liable for any loss, theft, damage or injury arising in connection with your stay in the rental property caused by matters outside of any reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, civil disturbances, strikes or other industrial action, acts of government or any event beyond our control.
Our Responsibility: Elegant Address South of France Ltd reserves the right to cancel the rental before or after payment of the total rental price in special cases such as unforeseen major repairs of the property. In this case we will arrange to offer another accommodation of a similar or higher standard and location, or to refund the full amount paid.
We are not responsible for any change not related directly to the accommodation, such as beach conditions, shops, environmental conditions etc.
Neither the owners nor the agency can accept any responsibility for injury or damage to guests or any members of their families and/or their party.
Elegant Address South of France Ltd reserves the right to cancel the rental at any moment in cases where the guest or member of the family or friends of the guest act in a threatening way, incur damages to the rental property, make extreme noise, exceed the capacity, or incur any other action that may harm the agency or the homeowner. Under these circumstances no refund would be due.
